At approximately 11:55 am today, a wind turbine owned by One Energy experienced a blade failure in Findlay, Ohio. The blade fell directly to the ground below the wind turbine. There were no injuries and no damage beyond One Energy’s property. By 12:00 pm, One Energy personnel were on site to immediately secure the scene and perform a full drone inspection of the wind turbine and site. Out of an abundance of caution, all wind turbines owned by One Energy have been shut down while a preliminary investigation is underway. One Energy will continue to communicate with the public as it has additional information.

What do you do when you find Flat Stanley in the mail? Bring him to work with you!

If you aren’t familiar with it, Flat Stanley is a letter-writing project designed to increase reading and writing skills for schoolchildren and teach them about different places. A member of our Project Planning and Technology team received Flat Stanley, and what better way to show him Findlay than bringing him to One Energy’s North Findlay Wind Campus?

Stanley arrived just in time to hitch a ride to the top of a wind turbine with a couple of construction technicians while they performed some routine maintenance. Stanley got a behind-the-scenes view of why it’s so important to properly maintain and care for equipment while also enjoying some great views.

Thanks for visiting Stanley, have fun on your next adventure!

One Energy is excited to lead the Midwest’s electric semi-truck charging market. We are charging Orange EV’s e-TRIEVER heavy-duty yard truck and Penske’s medium-range eCascadia at our headquarters in Findlay, Ohio, and earlier this year, we energized our first Megawatt Hub charging site located at the North Findlay Wind Campus. Located close to key trucking interstates like I-75, I-80, and I-90 and near 15 nationwide distribution centers, One Energy’s Megawatt Hub offers the electric trucking industry access to large-scale charging where they need it.
